About the Gourmet Padre...

The Gourmet Padre was not a planned part of my retirement from the ministry, but it has evolved into a passion for making exotic and delightful edibles that I hope you will find  unique and astonishing as my friends did when they served as the first sacrificial lambs.

After several trial runs and tests of faith on the kitchen stovetop, the ideas and recipes began to take shape into what you now see on the GP menu.

Before long I was convinced to share my creations, which meant investing in a commercial kitchen that we now fondly refer to as the “candy delivery room.”

I’m convinced the good Lord created pecans to be enjoyed not only at Christmas, but every day of the year! My idea was to create something decadent and original to highlight God’s work. So it was a natural for the now famous Posh Pecans to be the first products to be “born”.

Posh Pecans start with two halves of a pecan, bonded together with a fondant flavoured with liqueurs and then dipped into white milk or dark Belgian chocolate. Truly a symphony of sensations for the palette!

As you will see, our menu has expanded through the years to include items that you will not find anywhere else.

Although our customer base has expanded (even including some European friends) we are a small company and intend to stay that way. This way I can continue the quality that has made our customer satisfaction rate second to none. I know you will be pleased.

And yes, I am a retired priest who spent 32 wonderful years on the University of Georgia campus as the Episcopal Chaplain.
